The team signed a contract to conduct soil amelioration investigating in the area as part of the “Preparation of feasibility study and submittals for the remediation and development of the amelioration and water farm complex in the liberated territories of the Jabrayil region”. Above all, “CASPIAN GEOMATICS” LLC conducted soil sampling from different locations during the investigation at various intervals and performed laboratory analyses. In addition, the analysis results allowed us to create thematic maps for each interval, including salinity classification maps for selected intervals, and we prepared a geoinformation system of the area.
Firstly, HSE action plan related to soil amelioration investigations was prepared and risk assessment was carried out.
The team resolved the following issues:
Conducting of soil sampling at 5 intervals from 62 locations based on predetermined coordinates in the project area.
conducting laboratory analysis on 310 samples.
creation of thematic maps based on indicators of soil analysis results (pH, residual water-soluble and Electrical conductivity).
classification of soils according to the filtration coefficient
creation of salinity classification maps for 0-25 cm and 25-50 cm intervals and creation of GIS.
determination integral values for all intervals based on three parameters and modeling the degree of salinity by indicators.
providing practical recommendations for the investigation area.
