SEWERAGE AND WATER SUPPLY PROJECT (SHUSHA / DASHALTI)

Wastewater treatment plants / Shusha wastewater treatment plants complex / Sampling – 687m / Diameter – 132mm / Geodetic survey / Geological and Hydrogeological surveys

The CASPIAN GEOMATICS team conducted comprehensive engineering surveys. To carry out the engineering surveys, “IQLIM LTD” signed a contract with “CASPIAN GEOMATICS.” The Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency and IQLIM LTD. previously signed a contract for the project. Based on the agreement, the team started work and resolved the issues raised according to the implementation schedule.

Issues resolved by Caspian Geomatics:

  1. Geodetic surveys on wastewater treatment plants & water reservoirs.
  2. Determination of underground communications.
  3. Installation of geodetic benchmarks.
  4. Static measurements, GPS surveying.
  5. Compilation of digital topographic maps.
  6. Creation of digital elevation models.
  7. Graphical compilation of relief profiles.
  8. 3D modeling and GIS analysis.
  9. 687 p.m. engineering-geological drilling works.
  10. Geological and hydrogeological surveys.
  11. Study of geological-hydrogeological conditions.
  12. Soil laboratory studies.
  13. Defense of reports in the Expertise of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Initially, geodetic engineers installed geodetic benchmarks in the study areas. Later, they carried out geodetic surveys. Thirdly, the team conducted geological and hydrogeological surveys.

The President participated in the opening of the Shusha Wastewater Treatment Plant Complex. Then, The President was informed about the project for reconstruction of water supply, sewerage and storm drainage systems. The existing Kichik Kirs and Zarisli sources, along with the Zarislichay reservoir, will supply drinking water. The new infrastructure created in Shusha will be managed based on the “Smart Water” system. SCADA systems will regulate water withdrawal from the source, transportation, reservoir levels, hydraulic modes, and other processes online.

As a result, The Customer assessed existing and new water sources, including the Dashalti River, and conducted hydrological surveys. IQLIM LTD also prepared an environmental and socio-economic impact assessment report.
